It's a conspiracy
I'm exhausted.
Monday night I just couldn't sleep. I don't do the insomniac thing all that often. When it happens it sucks, but it usually doesn't stick around all that long when it does so I don't worry about it.
So last night, I got off the phone with R, and was all cozy and mostly asleep, and I hear sirens. Lots of them, and CLOSE. The I realize that I see flashy lights too. In fact with my blinds pulled completely closed, I could still see flashy lights.
I have no idea what happened exactly, but I suspect one of my neighbors (thankfully in a building not connected with mine) tried to burn their apartment down. There were two fire trucks and several police cars - that stayed in the parking lot and kept their flashy lights on until about 1 AM. Not that I was trying to sleep or anything.
I do hope that everyone is alright, and that there is no serious damage. The nerve of some people calling emergency services in the middle of the night!! :P
