last night I made homemade pizza (well, the dough for the crust was storebought, but we had to bake it ourselves.) with pesto instead of tomato sauce. and the only topping, other than lots and lots of cheese, was chopped fresh tomatoes :)
it was pretty good, but too salty. I mean, I'm not a big fan of tomato sauce, which is why I tried this, but pesto is just... super salty. I should learn to make it from scratch, but I think it's got potato starch or something in it.
