I went to the movies for Christmas and while I was standing in line, I noticed this on the window of the box office. Naturally, I had to take a picture when I left the theater. People in line were looking at me like I was out of my mind, but I knew my fellow Eroicafen would understand my amusement.

Does Klaus's NATO bear any resemblance at all to the real-world NATO?

I'm doing research for a story that is set in 1987 and came across this article dated April 21, 1988.
Full article here.
It's lengthy and very helpful in my research, but several of the statements made me chuckle. Especially when one considers the events that followed in Germany and the Soviet Union shortly thereafter.
