Spiffy poll.

Hm. Currently I sort of consider myself to be an asexual straight person, so... *clicked both*

Hey, me too! :D
(But I clicked just "asexual", because the "right" definition for that seems to be (according to asexuality: "heteroromantic asexual" :D)

And look here, that's the result, after I answered the poll o.O:

Asexual. 11 (44.0%)
Bisexual. 8 (32.0%)
Homosexual. 1 (4.0%)
Heterosexual. 7 (28.0%)
Other @_@ 3 (12.0%)

Asexuals are the majority! LOL!! That's a new thing for me o__O; (And I feel less strange/absurd/unfitting now ^^)

I've dated and fooled around with people of both genders, but consider myself school-induced asexual right now? XD

That's rather like my caregiver induced celibacy. (Too busy caring for aging, invalid parents for a social life.)

Asexual as noted (nice to see a poll where it's actually an option!), but I kind of have the opposite of the "mostly read, write a little" option. I mostly write, and read a little - and only if it's an author who I know will treat the characters with dignity rather than "OMG THIS ONE IS THE CUTE UKE AND THIS ONE IS THE HOT SEME". I only occasionally read fanfic at all, actually, and particularly hate generic slash. ;)

I am probably the same in the writing aspect, but I have been reading an awful lot lately.

You will be pleased to note that the essay the spawned this was about the lack of acknowledgment of asexuals in slash!

...Perhaps not pleased, really. If it was another whiny A going "wah wah so oppressed" then I'd just sigh and shake my head. ;)

Not whiny at all. If it were, I'd've stopped reading. Whining is one of the things I'm intolerant of.

Pansexual. Just to make your swirly eyes a little bigger. ^__~ It'll be interesting to see how the figures turn out after a while on this.

Should I've put Metrosexual as a choice?

Hehe... er... I'm not sure that metrosexual is in the same category. Unless there's an urge to do things with the city or mass transit. o.O

My God, Tokyo was such a beautiful place for finding all the metros ^o^ mmmm, to ride the trains and be pleased.

BUT!

I don't believe that we have enough guys on the list to get a fair sampling for that one.

Hrm... I be thinking that asexual shouldn't mean that you aren't gettin any unless by preference. Does this mean no playing with ones self, too?

Gah! *dies*

You are truly evil. Nice work.

Hehe, I'll always be evil in the name of science. ;)

I feel like I should be pointing at AVEN for that question. ;)

(Myself, I was 25 before I found out masturbation was something that people actually did, and it wasn't just something people joked about. My reaction was "Really? ...Why?")
