(no subject)
Well finished my little stint in Venue, only had 2 shifts but I'm glad it's over. Monday me and Charlotte were just setting up for a conference for o2 and we had to dish up 1360 chocolate bars and not eat any, TORTURE! Then last night a few of us from Pancake were doing a gala dinner for the same o2 delegates. It went ok I guess but it was just so full. 340 covers paying a hell of a lot so it had to be spot on perfect. I finished at 11 last night and the last clearing had just been done and coffees went out so wasn't really all that much left to do for the staff that were on all night. I've made my decision about going there after maternity leave though, it's not happening. The odd shift is fine but I'm not moving up there. Janice (new pancake manager) has said she can see I've got the flare for hard work so she will do my mentoring to keep me in the unit, yay! Linda was real pissed off when I told her I'd been considering leaving to go to Venue, she's ok with me now. She gave me and Scott a big hug last night, when she saw us together. Me cuz I promised not to leave her and Scott cuz she sees him as her little protegé (sp?) bless her.
Both me and Scott are off today but we're busy busy. I've done loads of washing and cleaning already. When Scott gets up we've got to go to Nottingham rep centre for a bulb for Fluffy, then we're painting the nursery and at 7.30pm tonight we're off to see Pauline and Peter which will be good cuz I've not seen either of them in AGES! Glad it's a nice day though, we usually get rain on our days off lol. I'm off tomorrow and Friday as well, I should've been off Saturday too but it's FA cup final or something and Elsa (Liverpool fan at work) was put down to work so I changed my shift with her. If Scott had been off then I would've kept it but he's at work and I have no interest in football so I might as well swap for her :-) Oh and with it being football pancake house will be dead lol.
Hope everyone is keeping well, was nice to hear from Mousey and Sian in my last entry :-) and will be great to see Mousey tomorrow, at last!!!
