Off work today as it's Aunty Audreys funeral. I've not gone to the funeral cuz I find them too upsetting, instead I do a silence for them and think about when they were here etc. Got a little upset when I woke up this morning but feeling ok now.
Leanne and Louise came over with Maire and some baby clothes for me, I imagined a few baby grows or something. no, 2 great big bin liners full!!! I'm so grateful, all the stuff is in great nick too. Some of it still has labels on cuz Maire never got chance to wear it. Now just got to keep hoping I do have a girl like the doctors said lol. After they'd gone me and Scott took advantage of the lovely weather and sorted our garden out, looks much better now. Scott's at work now so I'm doing the house work, or should be haha. Just waiting for the washer to finish so I can hang the clothes out. In the meantime I'm chilling in the sun trying to get a bit of colour. Probably wont happen though.
Not much else to talk about. Been to Meadowhall for lots of baby stuff, then went to B&Q the other day for stuff for the nursery. Decorating on Wednesday when we're both off work. Scott got his promotion through yesterday so he's dead pleased. He's been promoted to Commis chef in Rajindas. Not bad to say he hasn't even been cheffing a year yet. Really proud of him. Also Nicola, the sous chef, has said she'll find him and extra 10hrs a month in other units for the experience and to take him up to 160 hours per month, which is as many hours as he can do.Bless, he's so happy :-) On the "moving up" front with me it's all confusing. Been told flat out no til I go back after maternity leave but then the manager that should be mentoring me will be in a different unit. She has promised me the training and promotion if I go to Venue when I get back but it means leaving Pancake House :-( I could also have a full time contract up at venue, I'm leaving that decision til after I get back though cuz when Araya is here I might only want to work part time. The Grade 4 thing is troubling me though, will talk to Linda see if there's anyway I could get mentored at Pancake, or I'll have to go.
