So New York is tres fous. I'm not sure if that's how you spell "crazy" in French anymore, but I tried.
Today is my first show in New York. I'm performing for Anthony at Judson Church, a really historic (for dance and NYC history) church in Washington Square. Anthony invited a ton of people that we know and want to dance for among presenters and friends. So it's going to be scary to dance for those people, but it also should be very warm and fun.
I was working as an Assistant to the Director of an after-school program, but I decided that I needed to put my two-weeks after my boss wanted me to be a accountable for $500 that I actually left for him to take care of... when I came in for the first of my last-two weeks, my boss told me that it was my last day. Yeah. Okay.
So I'm back to doing temp work. And I hope that works out. I really don't have much money after rent this time around, which isn't bad for living here 6 months.
My parents are coming into town for Easter, so that'll be interesting showing them around in the city when they're not very "city" people. But we should have fun riding the subways forever and walking too much. Really, though, I am looking forward to it.
I hope to work for this temp job more because there really isn't too much for me to do here, and people are way laid back. I miss blogging, and I do need the opportunity to look for dance jobs, grants, etc.
So for now, I'm back. I hope you are well.
