I am going to try this crazy thing called Making an LJ Post! About... my life! HOW EXCITING!
Well, I have been doing pretty good here at Ringling still. I've been here over a month now! CRAZY.I think I actually have a group of friends now, hopefully that lasts, haha! I'm also pretty good friends with my roommate, I couldn't have asked for a better fit. Even if she refuses to give anime a chance... soon she shall fall. (I'm reminded of heyyoitsmj here. FMA WILL BE HER DOWNFALL, I SWEAR IT!)
School-wise, I've been pretty good at managing my work load. I haven't had to stay up past midnight working on an assignment yet! I'm learning a lot in all of my classes: I never thought I'd be able to do some of the projects that I've done just within the first month of school. It's only going to get harder from here on out, though, but I think I'm off to a pretty good start?
So, yeah, mostly I have been feeling okay, aside from a few random bouts of inexplicable sadness? I will chalk those up to homesickness and worrying about my friends and how they're doing. I can't believe I'm not really going to be back in NC until Christmas break though.... that's so far away! (For Thanksgiving break, I'm flying up to Portland for a Duke trip.)
Really, there's nothing too exciting to note here! Ringling is still nerdy as ever? I can talk about fandom and no one thinks I'm weird? I converted my friend Veronica into a hardcore OT3 shipper? I have watched Repo! The Genetic Opera 3 times in the last two weeks against my will??
Now that I'm settled in I'm going to start drawing the pages for ELD. HOPEFULLY THAT WORKS OUT. I'm really excited about that, actually!
