This is the best icon ever.

Hello everyone! I am currently on vacation in Banff, Canada. I'm enjoying it a lot, but I'm kind of getting tired of my family, you know, as you do.

SO, my thoughts on some things:

1) I am torn between bitter vindication, cruel laughter, and endless tears at the reviews for The Last Airbender. I will never, ever see this movie. I can only hope that ( Read more... )

HELLO NEW LJ-FRIEND! <3

1) I'm watching it only to see what the hell people are talking about, but I'M NOT PAYING FOR IT. Show needs more love. It's been ages since I watched it and need to be reminded of why I love it so much!

2) My response was: WHAAAT. I sorta don't see how it would actually seriously work! But okaaaay.

3) THAT EXACTLY. That thing never fails to crack me up and it's just so ridiculous. Oh, Roy.

Your characters designs look super awesome. I love how fluid your style and shading are. Very expressive, I think. And I'm in love with webcomics. <333

OMG THAT ICON. <3333333

HELLO.

1) I've heard it's not even fun to sit through and make fun of. IT'S THAT PAINFUL.

2) Yeah, IDEK. It would be cool to see the costumes and stuff all IRL. But yeah, how could you have FMA without Ed's hilarious facial expressions?

3) IT IS DIGNIFIED AND MANLY.

And thank you so much!

I FELT IT WAS APPROPRIATE. It is in fact from Gunnerkrigg Court, an awesome webcomic that's sort of hard to describe, but it is about schoolgirls, and comes with robots and lovely friendships and magic-y stuff.

1) I've heard everything from "Well it was fine" to "WHERE ARE THE PITCHFORKS. SHAMALLAMA, DIE!" So I dunno.

2) AMESTRIAN MILITARY UNIFORMS, I LOVE YOU FOREVER. Yeaaah, there's a lot that would be lost in the translation, I think. A lot of it Arakawa's humour. Hm. I wonder about the actors and the issue of colouring and stuff.

3) XD.

... Wait.... Is there really a FMA live action movie... Or are you just screwing with me .___.?

Yup, apparently it's going to be based off of Brotherhood in some way.

Glad to hear you're having fun in Canada! I saw some of your photos on Facebook, it looks beautiful. :D

Yeah, don't ever see The Last Airbender. I actually went to see it since my friend invited me, and because I'm the only one on the review site I'm on whose seen the show. My friend and I both agreed it sucked, and spent the car ride home making fun of it. That was about the only fun part, really. XD The rest was just frustrating and dull.

...

And I love the first FMA anime. D8

I will never ever see The Last Airbender because it is racist and horrible.

And uh... I have a lot of issues with the first anime, from a storytelling standpoint, and also how they handle a lot of the characters (especially the ladies.) Have you ever read the manga?

I'm never going near it again, that's for sure. XD But hey, at least we have the spin-off series to look forward to!

And no, I haven't read the manga yet... I'm not sure I have the time right now, since I already have so much I need to do. XD; I saw the first anime back in 2007 (I think?) though, and I got really into it and emotionally invested in the characters. It's been a while though, so I dunno how I'd feel about it now. I might try to read the manga eventually, though.

Yeah, the manga is about 1000000x better than the first anime, from a characterization standpoint, as well as the plot and story in general.
