It has not at all worked on me. I have seen enough of shit in Pepsi. A CEO endorsing the quality of a product of his company does not add any credibility for obvious reasons.

ya, not surprising...
every coin has 2 sides..some ppl like pepsi/coke and some dont...
so u hav every right not to like it...

coming to ur second point...if a CEO, in a tv ad, says that his product is perfect and some bad thing happens bcoz of the product in the market, then the CEO is in real soup...so the CEO first makes sure that the product is right before publishing it...

Dude,
Any number of campaign they might do, I do believe that Pepsi does damage health very badly. You did see what happened to one of our classmates for consuming excess Pepsi right ? His liver got weak. Whether it is an issue with pesticides or not, Pepsi i.e carbonated water is dangerous to health. Dude, our cells need oxygen to function not water with CO2 in it. It always affects your health. Till you can resist, you may enjoy it, but in course of time it will bring down your health. Sorry to say this dude, but I am not a fan of Pepsi or any cool drinks for that matter.

Who the hell is Rajeev Bakshi?? So what he is the CEO of Pepsi???

After all he takes a salary home and for that reason, he is appearing on TV and promoting his own company. Nothing selfless in this.

All this is bullshit no one gets fooled. Why should I believe him? He is not my grandfather.

Pepsi/Coke dont have GUTS to commission testing of sugar and ground water in India from a credible UN agency for pesticides and show to world that actually pesticides come from there...

relax dude...chill...
its not about fooling..its about correcting false image that the NGO's tried to create...
and btw, if ur grandpa asks u to drink pesticide, will u drink? :D
so, think about it with a cool head...

for ur kind info, they have commissioned proper tests both in US and UK...get ur facts right..

I have nothing against Pepsi... I just countered ur praise for the ad campaign...

> for ur kind info, they have commissioned proper tests both in US and UK...get ur facts right..

I meant something grave. Will Pepsi has the guts to prove that water and sugar all over India is contaminated??? If they prove it and publicise it, then they will be thrown out of the country???

Why???

Becos it goes against our tourism/business investment promotion... no MNC dares to find fault (let alone prove) with local government failures...

So Pepsi will not take on the Government even though Pepsi is innocent... it will continue to show ads of some unknown Mr.Bakshi :-)

Forget the pesticide issue.
Do you reach for a Pepsi looking at SRK or some Blue train ?

Firstly, the irony is that pepsi have gone so down that the CEO had to make a statement. Companies like pepsi and coke make profits through volumes. And they cant afford a country like India with huge population to slip away from their hands. Hence they are using all sorts of marketing gimics to get back the loosing market.
Secondly, even though the pepsi market has been hit badly it depends on the individual who wants to drink it or not. Soon pepsi and coke will become like cigarettes. Everyone knows cigarettes are harmful but still they smoke. Very soon u will find pepsi and coke bottles with Statuary Warning saying that it contains pesticides and is harmful to health !!!
