(no subject)
Ok, so yesterday was a little too early to post for me as the horrible/ghastly/awful/hurtful/disgusting news was still too fresh in my mind. So here it goes….
The place that we had booked to have our reception closed its doors on Saturday night and didn’t bother telling anyone. Oh yea, and they are not returning our deposit. Needless to say we have been in panic mode since we found out. I have filed a dispute with my bank, but I don’t know what is going to happen.
We have a couple of leads on new places, but nothing concrete. I am praying that it all works out. It has to. Our invitations were mailed out on Friday so now we have the great pleasure of calling everyone and letting them know that there is slight change in our reception plans.
I am a firm believer that things happen for a reason, so I am trying to remain as positive as I can be. That was a tough task yesterday, but today is a wee bit better. I try not to think of the conversations that transpired with the owner about every last detail because it makes me very angry and upset. We are trying to move forward, but loosing a big chunk of our money and changing our plans deeply hurts.
