OHHH MY GOODNESS that was such a good picture post. I had completely forgotten about that goddamn whatever-the-hell-it-is that's going fishing.

I really like the giraffe in the strawberry car and I also really like the fact that you have a friend who is willing to draw you a picture of a giraffe in a strawberry car. Did you show him the picture of Seabass' toy before you commissioned the piece?

Lastly, I thank you for the CAT DIPTYCH. And shout-out to Phia-pia who I miss terribly. :( Turriblee.

Bryan thinks the teapot is a hippo.

Now that I look at it, I could totally see it being a hippo. Its neck is a little long and skinny for what I am accustomed to hippos looking like, but I think hippo is the best guess I've heard so far. It's like a hippo deep in the depths of uncanny valley for hippos. REDUNDANCY WOO

OMG LOOK AT THE PILE OF LEAVES ON HIS BACK. I totally missed that the first time. What is this, RIP VON HIPPO? How can so many leaves accumulate on one hippo's back?

Or maybe when he was swimming he surfaced under a giant pile of leaves?

No, I just said to him "Giraffe in a strawberry car." and explained its origins in my nephew's toy chest, but I wanted to see how he envisioned it without any influence from the original toy.

And I totally see how you could think Santa House was actually Cat House. Although one bit red giant ear?

Big red giant ear. Big. Not Bit.

I'm glad you did that. That was a good decision. I like the way he depicted the riding goggles and the spindly arms.

No, it's not an ear; it's a Chinaman hat. By the way, I showed your response to Bryan and he didn't know what I was talking about at first. Then he said, "Oh, I knew it was a Santa house all along." I guess it was just the power of suggestion. Maybe if you hadn't prefaced the picture with a picture of Phia-pia I wouldn't have thought it was a cat house.
