Since Christmas fell on a Saturday, the local stores are having some after-Christmas sales today and some tomorrow. Usually, all the stores start their after-Christmas sales bright and early at 6 a.m. and the mad rush for bargains is on. But because it fell on a Sunday, some of the stores apparently went, "Meh, Sunday. Too much trouble" and saved it for tomorrow. ~shrug~ I haven't seen anything in any of the sale ads that would make me want to fight the crowds so it won't affect me except that traffic will suck tomorrow, too.
I did extremely well in the gift department this Christmas. I'd already received so many wonderful gifts that I'm almost embarrassed to tell you everything else I got, so... I won't. ;) However, I'm totally in love with my new HP printer/copier/scanner. And my replacement mini food chopper was direly needed. Mine bit the dust a couple of months ago and I was ~gasps of shock and horror~ reduced to chopping onions, peppers, etc. by hand. (It was always too much trouble to drag out the big food processor for just one onion.)
Santa
knight0fswords was nice enough to stick a couple of CD's in my Christmas stocking, so I'm reacquainting myself with the genius that is Peter Gabriel. Oh, don't worry, I'm not abandoning Bowie. I'm just saving up for the 24-hour marathon that's upcoming in honor of his birthday on January 8th. So what if I'm the only one having a 24-hour Bowie marathon. I'll enjoy it and that's what counts. ;)
I received a really great drabble from
shadowycat for
hp_crimbo. It can be found
here. And I did a couple of drabbles for the community. They can be found
here and
here.
Also, I have another six invites to g-mail if there's a single living soul on the planet who doesn't have an account yet. Just email me at scatteredlogic @ gmail.com and I'll send you one. Or two. Or, hell, all of them, if you want.
