Ah! I love this update, such hope and promise in it and yet still so angsty! I love the progress they're making, however slow it may be. They obviously have a lot of hurdles -huge, tall, angsty hurdles - to get over, but at least they're trying ( ... )

Why thank you, my dear! (Please, like I'd forget the angst! Ha!)

Progress is definitely slow, but what else could it be? Haley is still terrified of getting her heart broken again, with good reason. So she's definitely going to be cautious this time around, but at the same time, she is so drawn to him that it isn't going to stop.

Nathan learned his lessons (his many, many lessons), but I think Haley is still learning hers. And it isn't the initial knee-jerk reaction of 'oh, my god, I can never trust him or anyone again'. Now it is more of the 'people make mistakes, horrible mistakes, but they can learn from them and move on and be better for them'. So it's good that she's taking steps forward, definitely!

More next Sunday!

Um yeah. So I love you. Hee. :) Here I was thinking I'd have to wait a little for the next update, but noo, just 20 minutes after I finish the last chapter, what do you know?!

"My mom can’t even get through to her. And maybe it isn’t right, but I’m beginning to think that you are the only one who can.” Aw Luke! If he believes in them, why can't Haley? Okay, well I understand why, but whatever :P

I'm so happy she is going to tutor him again! She doesn't want him completely out of her life. And might this tutoring session lead to something like the last did? Just without all the lying? lol Would I sound spoiled if I am already hoping for another update soon? :)

Lolz. Thanks! You have great timing, then! But I warn you, you'll have to wait a week for the next one. :)

I guess, if Haley is tutoring Nathan again, that they've come full circle and can start fresh again. Or fresh-ish, maybe.

100% fewer lies between them, that I can promise!

No! Thank you! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this story. :)

The 'new' Nathan sure is something, isn't he? He's way...better, as a person, as a boyfriend, as a brother, but he's still so convinced that he's terrible at all of it that he's got a major complex. It'll be fun, I'm sure, to see as Haley helps him work through that! And Pete is such a great support for Nathan, and his growing relationship with Luke...well, sooner or later, maybe those insecurities will be nil.

Thank you so much, really! I appreciate so much you taking the time to say all that. It means the world, and let's face it, is a fabulous motivator! (Or guilt trip, perhaps....)

Heh. Well, no, it isn't, because you guys give me lots of motivation to keep going and keep writing even at times I'd rather take a long winter's nap or something like that. And since I want to finish all these stories I have out there, terribly, glaringly unfinished, I owe you all big thanks ( ... )

How many times and how many different ways can a person tell another what a gift they have for writing?? I know that there are a lot of people that are happy you are back, but none can be happier than I am. I know another of my very very favorites is in the midst of writing a new story. (yay!) You never know I just might make it through my busy season.
