Thank you Brynne!!! Thank you, thank you , thank you!

This chapter was so amazing. I am literally grinning like the Cheshire Cat right now. Even though I'm sure it's obvious that the end of the chapter is the reason for my smile, I'll start from the beginning because there were many things to love.

This new Nathan is just so wonderful. It's quite interesting how he tends to be so insecure about himself and his progress, and especially how other people feel about him, but the one thing he is completely resolute about is his love for Haley and the fact that they will be together again. I feel the intensity of his love, his feelings and his desire for her coming through the computer screen in every single chapter.

I'm still loving Pete and his ability to get Nathan to see that the world isn't falling in on him. Nathan's so focused on fixing things and getting Haley back that he isn't seeing the larger picture of how much his change in attitude is positively affecting other parts of his life and the views that other people have of him. Pete is so great for him right now.

I adore the Nathan/Keith relationship in this fic. Keith knows when to be firm, and when to be compassionate. The faith he has shown in Nathan has been nothing short of amazing and I really think it has had a big impact on Nathan's own belief in himself. I also loved the Nathan/Karen meeting. You did a great job of showing how Karen is always willing to give people a second chance or at least a chance to prove themselves, and even though she is giving him a break, her first priority is protecting the people she loves. Fingers crossed that includes Nathan some day.

The little Scott brother bonding session was just love. I really do adore the brothers and seeing them working to get over their volatile history in order to make sure that they girl they both love more than anything is happy... well it just tugs at all the right heartstrings.

Now onto the brilliance that was the Naley interaction of this chapter. She has been gradually lowering her defences only to throw them back up again, and to see her admit to herself as well as Nathan that she doesn't want to be angry anymore was just so great. You've written Haley so well in this story (well, you do in all of your stories, but I won't go into how much of a fan I am *lol*). All of her thoughts, emotions and reactions are just so realistic. She wants so badly to go back to how things were but she's smart enough to know that can't happen. It's like she knows that if she and Nathan are together again, they'll be something different and that makes perfect sense because Nathan is a different person... and so is she. They still love each intensely, but they have changed so much that any relationship between them will differ dramatically to what they had.

I adored their scene in the car and how she let go for a moment and kissed him and opened up a bit more than she has. I swear I squealed when she agreed to tutor him! I feel like it was just that little bit of hope that Nathan needed to keep hanging on without pushing her too far. I've always had faith that you'd get our precious Naley back together at some stage, but it feels like after this chapter that it's tangible.

I can only imagine how busy you've been updating all of your stories, but please know that we really do appreciate it. I can't wait for more.

Lori :)

No! Thank you! I'm so glad that you're enjoying this story. :)

The 'new' Nathan sure is something, isn't he? He's way...better, as a person, as a boyfriend, as a brother, but he's still so convinced that he's terrible at all of it that he's got a major complex. It'll be fun, I'm sure, to see as Haley helps him work through that! And Pete is such a great support for Nathan, and his growing relationship with Luke...well, sooner or later, maybe those insecurities will be nil.

Thank you so much, really! I appreciate so much you taking the time to say all that. It means the world, and let's face it, is a fabulous motivator! (Or guilt trip, perhaps....)
