August BINGO pix & commentary. Yay!!
Again, I'm full of hugs and thanks for everyone who commented on my last entry! *blush* You're so kind and empathetic, and I'm grateful to have you as friends. :) Too bad most of you live too far away to be IN-PERSON friends, but at least we have LiveJournal! (BTW, anyone reading this who's not on my LJ Friends List won't know the reason why I'm thanking "my readers" -- that's because the entry they commented on was "friends-locked", which means if you're not on LJ, you can't read it. That's because it was quite personal. But feel free to ask me if you're curious!) Now, on to the photos and phun!
As usual, I'm late posting pix from bingo, but here they are, in all their glory! *giggle* Jenny, a longtime Bingo Belle, hosted the August game, along with her two loveable doggies, Jasmine and Jake, who always enjoy hanging out with us.
Jenny might host for September too, at which time a special guest will be joining us! It's omana, the LJ friend of myself and beckerbuns whom we're really looking forward to meeting in person! Tara loves bingo and is going to -- coincidentally -- be in the San Jose area on the third Friday of September, so I invited her! :) She lives up in Sonoma County, so this will be a special treat!
The obligatory gift shot! Lisa M. asked me to be sure I mentioned that the bag from Longs Drugs (my fave drugstore) does not, in fact, contain prescription medication. It was simply the only gift bag she could find at home! (heehee)
I caught Jasmine scratching herself in a rather unladylike way! ;) Notice how she's looking RIGHT at me, as if to say: "Hey! Do you mind??"

During the game, Jake suddenly decided to flop down with his soft, velvety chin/throat area on my feet. Awwww! *giggle* I wanted to know what it looked like, so someone took a pic for me under the table. Look at Jake's funny sticking-up ear!! He also looks like he's smiling, doesn't he? :)
One of the bingo gifts consisted of some very pretty glasses and these two "fizzers" to make regular and strawberry lemonade with. I was enchanted with them and took their picture.
Thanks to my camera's self-timer and Jenny's handy countertop, here's a photo of everyone -- including Jake's butt! LOL! From left, we have Becky R., Margaret, Lisa M., Scary Shari, Jenny and Coleen. We missed beckerbuns, sjkat27, Ina and Jeri, and we hope to see them next month!!
Same group, different shot. OH! I almost forgot to say 2 very funny things that happened! THING #1: Lisa yelled "bingo!" and had all the correct numbers, but she commented "I think I've had bingo for a while now," which everyone found hilarious! And then, a few games later, a lot of numbers had been called but no one had bingoed. Coleen asked Lisa, "Are you sure you don't have bingo?" and when Lisa re-checked her cards, she saw she DID have a bingo! LOL And she'd had it also "for a while!" We all laughed again! ;D THING #2: I had such horrid luck that I did not get even ONE bingo for the entire night! I was close many times, but nothing matched up. I felt like Charlie Brown. :( However, on the very LAST game of the night (before we played the one blackout round), I finally hit a bingo!! Everyone laughed and cheered! *blush* How crazy was that luck? ;D So I chose one of the several gift cards that were going around the table. I think it was for Target!
This is the full moon, which I photographed after coming home from bingo. I loved how it was illuminating the clouds around it! The photo came out very dark, but thanks to the wonders of PhotoShop, I was able to lighten/brighten it enough to see the mysterious clouds! :)
