Luke Cage Episode 10

Whoever is in charge of this show needs all the awards.  It is so fucking good.

"Black fear.  After abolition it's how gun laws got enacted in the first place."

Diamondback is one hell of a villain.  He is ruthless in his determination to take down Luke and he's cold in his manipulation of the people of Harlem.

Speaking of manipulation, Mariah is a true politician and it's a real asset in her ascent to the throne.  And the best part is that she doesn't even have to do the dirty work.  Diamondback killed the cop while masquerading as Luke and the cops were the one who went on the witch hunt in retaliation.  All she has to do is hold a rally and get everyone fired up.  She's getting power using her words and that is worth more than gold.  Diamondback underestimates her just because she's still learning some of the moves.  I think she'll be left standing at season's end and I can't wait.

Speaking of, it was so frighteningly real how the cops didn't hesitate to accuse and attack any black male they could in the wake of the murder.  And, again, the directors were so smart in how they used the settings.  They didn't draw attention to the bystanders filming with their phones but they were there every time.

It's a shame that Luke doesn't really have anyone to corroborate his alibi for the murder, as no one will believe Claire and he won't want to bring the doctor into it.  I know Misty knows the truth but she's been shot (and I will pitch a fit if she dies-though I don't think she will since the character traditionally has a connection to Iron Fist and will, presumably, be a part of his show in March).

The home stretch is getting really exciting.
