Frustrations Abound

O2 are far and away the most incompentent fucking bunching of fucking wankers I have ever had to fucking deal with. FIrst, they fail to disconnect me from their network when I port my number using my pac code. Then, they continue billing me. Then they have a phone system that cannot connect to Telewest's pone system, then they tell me the mess ahs been sorted and I'm due a credit, and *THEN* (apparently) in trying to sort out the problem they cancel my line rental back and refund it, but some fuckwit puts a manual credit on my account which needs to be debited.

What does this mean in real terms? Firstly, I get billed for two and a bit month's line rental I shouldn't be billed for. Then, after I have pointed out this error and been told it's all been sorted out I get threatening letters for non-payment of line rental. Then I get a credit notice for £86-odd, THEN I get a bill for £86-odd. And now, having finally got to the bottom of it and been told the actual size of the credit (which sounds correct, to be honest), I ask about compensation and get told THEY DON'T FUCKING GIVE ANY FUCKING COMPENSATION!

Now, excuse me, but I have spent god knows how much money trying to get my money back from O2 when it was their mistake it was taken anyway, and they won't compensate any of it? It's strange you know, but it sounds like theft to me... I could understand that if they were, for instance, a housing benefit department working off the public purse (and I know how easily these cock-ups can happen because I used to work in Housing Benefit sorting out exactly the kind of cock-up that's happened to my account). I mean, for one thing Housing Benefit offices don't take money off you, they give it to you. But this is a private company, that has incorrectly taken money off me, has repeatedly fucked-up my account in trying to give it back to me, and is now saying that I also have to foot the bill for contacting them to sort it out, because they're too stingy to give me an 0800 number to ring on?

Anyway, the complaints commision (Does oftel still exist too, because if they do they should probably be written to as well...) will receive a very detailed account of the facts of the matter. Wonder if I can get duplicate phone records from Telewest about it...
