The major attraction of Munich is
Marienplatz. A nice place, overall, not too exciting though
The new city hall tower with the
Rathaus-Glockenspiel on top of it. Bunch of figures dancing to celebrate first a marriage of some Bavarian Duke. After that, other dancing figures show the dance to celebrate the end of the plague. It is still danced in real life every seven years. Our guide from a walking tour said that this thingy was voted as the second biggest tourist letdown in Europe. I don't know if it is true, but in the 21st century it is kinda lame.
The old city hall. It looks newer than the new one, but it's because it was destroyed during the war, and then rebuild
Clock tower
More Marienplatz
The old city hall has now a toy museum.
They also have there a statue of Juliet, from Romeo and Juliet. It was a gift from Verona, Munic's twin city. This statue is supposed to help you to find a mate. It can be done either by placing a flower in her hand, or by rubbing her right breast. Which is sick - she was 13 back then.
