I actually got a lap time of less than 0.0s for you.
I fought numerous monsters for you.
I got into a fight against mirror images of my own for you.
I got into a cactuar hunt for you.
I freaking chased after blue butterflies for you.
I played 60+ games of a highly futuristic but boring sport for you.
And, finally, I dodged almost a thousand lightning bolts for you; 282 consecutive ones, even.
After 120 hours, I have finally done what most gamers can only *aspire* to do: collect all 7 Celestial Weapons in FFX. My sphere grid is nearing its completion and Nemesis is just a few monsters away from being unlocked.
If there is one thing I know well, I'm the fucking man when it comes to freaking videogames. To quote Achilles from the movie Troy, "Is there no one else?!" Haha!

Euphoria. Just plain euphoric. There are only a few things better than knowing you gave your all into something even though there's no tangible return. Fantasies. Just fantasies. And now that one is nearing its finality, I have to find another to drown myself in, knowing that I cannot allow myself to return to the real world for now.

Lightning bolts are a lot like love. They don't strike in the same place twice. Never at the same time, too. Sometimes, they just hit and they just miss. When they miss, we tend to breathe a sigh of relief: we are alive and whole. Still, the question remains: how would you feel when you're hit by something so pure and powerful?
And sometimes we are indeed hit. And we are burned, scarred, and wounded. Often, even beyond recognition. Now we know how much that one chaotic and instinctual entity could indeed hurt us. And there's no getting over it. All we can do is hope that it doesn't strike that way again.
Lightnings. They come and go. Really, they are just too fast to see but they're too grand and too radiant to be missed completely. A lot like love. Only--as I've said before--not really.
