Sounds like you had a pretty good time despite it being cloudy and moonless. Deserts are one of those things I should see at some point in my life. I think I'll still prefer mountains but I'll never know until I try.

Did you see a sandworm? :)

well the dunes do make pretty large mountains....it is interesting. This is def the most dramatic kind of desert

no sandworm, alas. the scorpion and a huge spider were the most interesting things alive.

Did keep hoping though.

Tara honey, I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to get in touch! It's Hannah here :), I've finally stopped moving about and I'm home for a couple of days. I dug out all of my Fez contacts and got onto your site straight away. I stopped at this post because I saw you'd written that you missed me- I'm so touched, and missing you too! I miss the great fun we had together in Fez, in Rabat, and in Meknes and Volubilis, when it was just us two and when we were joined by Joshy ;) I'm planning on compiling photos for you, I'll email you a big zip file sometime soon. I think people who've read your write-ups might quite like to see evidence of you and me rolling about on the floor of a museum!
I'm going to read on, I'll get back in touch soon. LOOOOOOOADS of hugs on their way! Lots of love, Hannah xoxox
