Five Things: Ringo's Birthday Edition
1) Today is Ringo Starr's birthday--he's 71 and still rockin'. He was my favorite Beatle for years, mainly because he was no one else's. Happy birthday, Ringo!
2) Freelance work last night and for the last couple. Tired eyes this morning. More to do--and more, and yet more. I love this work, but it is work, and it makes my days back-to-back reading. This weekend is my birthday and I intend to play.
3) My WorldCon plans continue apace. I'm excited for what I was able to set up yesterday with friends. This is going to be fun.
4) I'm grossly behind on reporting my Write-a-thon progress. I need to do that today.
5) One thing I love about summer: I can sit on my balcony to do my work. Last night was pleasant mainly because--although I'm working on a fine book--I got to do it on my balcony in the warmth of the early July surrounded by thickly green trees and the sounds of birds. Also, the company of a curious little clown of a cat. She makes everything easier.
