Finished Deathly Hallows this morning at around 11ish and went directly to brunch with
ironymaiden to dish about the book and catch up with each other. We had brunch at B&O Espresso, then walked up to Twice Sold Tales, where I picked up Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brien; a cool hardcover edition of A Tale of Two Cities which includes related readings such as Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, In Defense of the Terror by Robespierre, and The Pit and the Pendulum among others; and In the Devil's Snare: The Salem Witchcraft Crisis of 1692 by Mary Beth Norton. Excellent haul for the day. We finished our visit with a stop at Top Pot Donuts (best in Seattle), where we sat at the counter window and watched people reading Deathly Hallows: two were sitting on the sidewalk part of the cafe, and two walked by each with a copy in their hands.
Me? I'm exhausted. I'll make a separate cut post with my thoughts about the book. Must nap first.
