My RadCon schedule

Feb 14, 2006 07:49

So I am apparently going to RadCon. It must be true because bravado111 will be my chauffeur, madrobins will be my roommate, and I have a schedule. Yup, that sounds like convention-going to me. Here's my schedule, if you'll be in eastern Washington and you're looking for me:

Friday, 3 PM, Executive Room
Writing for Games, Gamers
Janna Silverstein (and others)

Friday 7 PM
Opening ceremonies

Friday 9 PM, Bronze Room
Guest reception

Friday 10 PM, Garnet Room
Pictionary

Saturday, 10 AM Sage Room
Using Foods in Writing
Elizabeth Gilligan
Ximena Cearly
Renee Stern
Sara Meuller
Janna Silverstein

Saturday, 5 PM Sage Room
Critical Elements of the Space Opera
Mike Moscoe Shepherd
Brenda Cooper
G.David Nordley
Jim Fiscus
Janna Silverstein

Saturday, 7 PM Cobalt room
Mundane Science Fiction

Saturday, 8 PM Sage Room
Talebones Live

Sunday, 12 noon Garnet room
Fairwood Meet and Greet

Of all the convention schedules I've ever gotten, this is the one that baffles me most. Foods in Writing? Mundane SF? Really, I'm kind of weirded out. I also don't know what I'm going to read for Talebones Live. I was thinking it would be the Green Man story, but it needs so much work and revision—and I know I don't have enough time to do the revision before the con—that I know it's not ready for prime time. Must think about this.

Weirdly, it doesn't feel real, my going away this weekend. I don't know why, but somehow it hasn't sort of penetrated that I'm hitting the road very soon. Reality will hit soon enough, I'm sure.

science fiction, conventions
