An essay, I suppose

Renoko has told me she was a queen, and I know that her son's name was Aken, and his twin I'm pretty sure was Akane. She had two older daughters that she banished and or married off or some suchness.

I have no memory of when she arrived in my life. She may have been there since birth, but I'm pretty sure she was there very early on.

Here is what I do know.
Aken is the name of an Egyptian god. By the time I was five, I was convinced/wished like hell I was from Egypt, and by the first grade would even take a brown marker and color my skin so I would look black. I even put on an 'about me' sheet that I was from Egypt. I've been fascinated with anything to do with Egypt and pyramids since I was tiny. I don't even know how I knew about it, because my parents weren't particularly interested in it and there wasn't a big fascination with it in the early 90s.

My thinking is if Renoko was in fact a queen of Egypt, she may have been in the Middle kingdom, when they were rather tolerant of queens ruling as regents until a king came of age. She had three husbands. The first two sucked. The third I get the idea she really liked, and that's who sired the twins. She killed the first two, and killed herself after the death of the third.

Incredibly, this echoes Cleopatra a LOT. She had married her two younger brothers and killed them both. After Marc Antony's suicide (whith whom she had twins, a boy and a girl, and another child, I think?) she killed herself via snake bite. She was a vicious, cunning person, and did anything she could to solidify her rule.

This is really similar to what I've caught of Renoko's life. She's not a particularly nice person. She likes the idea of violence- though I can't say I'd call her a major seductress. She would rather smash men than entertain them, if you know what I mean. I know she had a lover at the end, the father of the twins.
