I'm on a watching stump (if that's what you call it). I've been trying to watch a new drama or movie but I just can't pick one I'd like to continue watching. As a result, I watched Orange Days again, because you know, Tsumabuki Satoshi announced last week that he's getting married to Maiko. And I wasn't ready! My shipping heart was still hoping he' ( Read more... )

Gosh I have had slumps before too. Fortunately, they tend to last just a night or so. I only recently watched Orange Days actually like May or June and I loved it so much. Totally started fangirling Tsumabaki after that. I hope you find something you want to watch soon.

lucky! mine lasts for weeks, sometimes months. >_< Orange Days is like my all-time fave. and the Satoshi x Kou ship is now my titanic. it's sunk but they're still great. XD anyway, have you seen Lunch Queen?

I guess since I only watched it once I wasn't aboard that ship lol. I didn't even know they dated until I was reading comments on an article about his upcoming marriage.

I haven't seen Lunch Queen but it's on my 'to watch' list since I like Yuko Takeuchi a lot. I just haven't made much progress with my "in progress" dramas to start that yet. Date is still not finished lol. And I broke my self control rule and started two dramas that I didn't finish watching either. So now the list is longer. Right now, I have mostly been watching current summer dramas.

Anyway, I'm surprised your slumps last so long. What do you do to get out of them?

maybe because I watched orange days when they're actually dating, and it broke a lot of shipper fans when they broke up after 3 years or so. XD and even after breaking up, we're all still hoping they'll get back together someday. XDD

Takeuchi Yuko's really good in Lunch Queen! I also haven't watched Date SP. I'm still not sure I will watch. i've seen your post regarding current summer dramas. I'm just waiting for them all to finish and get subbed. XD

ah. that's me. it's the same with reading, it takes a lot of trial and error until I find something I really want to watch or read til the end. but I'm starting a new one now, Nobunaga no Chef. I just hope I'll be able to finish it. XD

Three years?! Wow, I didn't know it was so long they dated. I could understand why the shippers felt it then. I haven't seen Nobunaga no Chef so I'll look out for your review of how it goes.

The spring dramas were better than these summer ones. But you should take a look at Ie Uru Onna and HOPE when they are completed.

I haven't gone past Nobunaga no Chef episode 2. I might check out another drama to watch. XD

is that so? too bad. those 2 are on my watch list because Chiba Yudai and Yuto. haha XDD are those the good ones this season? thank you for the recommendations!

Lol! Have you seen Tenno no Ryoriban?

And yep those two are the ones I look forward to the most. Ie Uru Onna is funny. HOPE has more emotional appeal. But neither is better than Juhan Shuttai nor 99.9. I don't know if there are better ones that I'm not watching but the descriptions of most of the others didn't appeal to me. I would like to see Kami no Shita wo Motsu Otoko but no one is subbing it presently. I probably would check out Aogeba Totoshi when it's finished.

not yet, but I just googled it and Sato Takeru so I might watch it. is it any good?

ugh, if only I've been diligently studying Japanese, I might be able to translate and eventually sub. there are lots of dramas out there that has good stories but due to lack of interest, they don't get subbed. >_< I also haven't heard about Aogeba Totoshi. XD I should really get my shit together and check out all this season's dramas. XD

I'm also planning to watch ON and Lost ID and The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, because Johnnys (I'm kind of ashamed [but not really] that I pick dramas/movies because they have actors/idols I like in them XD).

Lol. That's totally ok. I watch dramas for my fav actors and idols too XD. I tend to watch my favourites' dramas one after the other until I find a new favourite. I call it having actor fever lol. Takeru was my first fever actually. That's how I ended up watching Tenno no Ryoriban. It was still in progress when I started it and I think it was like the 3rd drama I checked out. It was one of the best dramas I have seen. It's probably my favourite. The acting is good, the production is good and the plot is an emotional roller coaster. I laughed, cried happy and sad tears, got angry, was happy etc. throughout it. Plus, the food will make you hungry lol. You should definitely check it out. It might help you get out of that slump ( ... )

let me guess... rurouni kenshin? :D I think I'll try and find Tenno no Ryoriban and maybe this this slump would end. speaking of Sato Takeru, I'm actually rewatching RuroKen because there's nothing to watch. XD

that's true! aw. you just finished uni? I never thought you'd be so young! maybe one of these days, I'd be getting subs from you. haha

I guess all those Lost ID "reviews" I've been seeing are only meant for Kei's appearances. XD because they're raving about it. I mean how cute and suspicious his character, Kusaka, is. XD ah, Liar Game, it's been a while. it's good! all the seasons and the movie. I haven't watched the latest one though, the one with Ashida Mana. because what is Liar Game without Erika?

Lol yes, I began fangirling Takeru after I watched the last Rurouni Kenshin movie. Actually I was trying to find the ending theme song and after looking up ONE OK ROCK, I came across videos of Takeru on youtube and drama clips. And so my jdrama love began lol. Of course, you could probably guess that Haruma Miura was my second fever XD.

Anyway, I'm almost 25 so I won't say I'm that young lol. Hopefully, I can sub someday. Mightn't be soon. I studied some basic japanese grammar yesterday and well it was slightly overwhelming. You really have to do a little at a time.

I don't know about those reviews. Some people are perhaps genuinely enjoying it. I would admit that I'm being overly critical but it's just because of my expectations. I'll probably rant about it when I write my thoughts on the other summer dramas I started. So you could look out for that then lol.

of course, I knew Miura would be in there somewhere. I actually found out about Takeru through Miura. XD

almost 25! that's still young (compared to me). and yes, it's quite overwhelming when you study a lot of Japanese in a day, then you also have to retain everything. D:

will look forward to that! anyway, thank you for recommending tenno no ryoriban. I'm on episode 3 now and I think I'll be able to finish it (finally!). :D
