"They got it all"

I think those must be the best four words in the English language after cancer surgery.

We went to see Walker's regular vet yesterday for a checkup after his surgery, and Dr. Lester had the pathology report. He thought we had already heard from the surgeon, so he just casually mentioned that he had it, and I stopped him, and he realized I didn't know. When he quietly said "they got it all", I couldn't believe it, and after confirming, I cried.

I don't know what that means treatment-wise. I asked Dr. Lester if that meant that we wouldn't have to do radiation and he said he couldn't make that call, that we would have to ask the oncologist. He's right. But he didn't immediately shut the idea down so there must be a possibility.

We'll see the surgeon for suture removal on Thursday, and will talk to the oncologist either then or shortly thereafer - she's going to come see Walker when he's in. I guess then we will know if we're still going to Pullman or not.

Walker has also eaten FIVE TIMES today!! He's eating very eagerly. He drools like crazy when he eats, and he snorts occasionally too, but he's eating!!!

I feel hopeful that things are looking up.
