Back to the hospital

Nov 25, 2008 20:50

Walker is back in the hospital. He started bleeding this afternoon and it turns out that he managed to pull out his stitches. Poor boy! That could explain why he has not been able to eat since Sunday. We figured he was healing and that we would give him time - but if his stitches were damaged that would make it very painful to eat.

He also has a bump near his tongue, which likely has something to do with his salivary gland. It is likely a side effect of the surgery and may just be fluid.

The surgeon isn't in until tomorrow morning. We could have brought him home, but we very reluctantly made the decision to leave him at the hospital in case he bleeds more. We are at least half an hour away from the hospital so if he bled a lot it would take a while to get there. They'll stitch him back up tomorrow.

My dear, sweet, lovable boy. I miss him desperately tonight. I've been sleeping in the spare bedroom with him and waking up every time he moves to check on him. I hope he is doing all right.
