[Rex is lurking in a common room, fiddling with the innards of the television, harvesting it for small parts that he can use to make Wanda's weapons. Nothing to make the TV stop working, just... little things. Once he hears footsteps, he quickly pockets his findings and shoves the TV back in place. Cautiously, he peers out to see--]
Crane happened. I swore I wouldn't take any more bullying shit from anyone. I'm going to find him and then I'm going to beat him until he can't talk anymore.
Hm. He deserves anything he gets. [Rex glances around briefly.] But be careful. Even though you could easily take him in a fight, he might have a knife. [He scowls.] He stabbed Iago once. [Granted, Iago was in the process of killing him, so it was, perhaps, somewhat warranted. But as far as Rex is concerned, the Barge would be better off if Crane just rolled over and died.]
I won't let him get within touching range. The problem is that the little turd has found a place to hide. I've been all over the Barge and I haven't seen a sign of him...
[Or her Warden. Who had said one word only when she had expressed her intentions, but then...nothing. Part of her was deeply disappointed, but the rest of her had pretty much expected it.]
The few people who can even tolerate him are wardens. [As far as Rex knew, only Capa and Nygma could stand Crane.] You should wait for him to let his guard down.
That means he's probably hiding behind one of them now.
[She huffs a sigh and her hands shake.] I should, but I don't think I can. I think I've had it. My capacity for this place's bullshit has reached its limit and Crane's the lucky winner.
I know the feeling... And believe me, there's nothing I'd like more than for Crane to get the beating he deserves. But it probably isn't feasible if he has a warden around.
I get you. [She sags, looking defeated.] He gets to spew slander around and then run and hide behind a Warden, and meanwhile I have to go behind my Warden's back to get what I need to defend myself. It just...figures.
He won't get away with it. You just have to... surprise him. [Rex is maybe a terrible influence.] Although trust me, from experience? Even if you kill him, he won't learn his lesson. His skull is impenetrable.
[She seemed to either be calming down or wearing down.]
