Just a matter of time, I suppose.

1. Because I'm a slowpoke, I decided to catch up on the Watchmen kinkmeme. Inevitably, I stumbled across forced impregnation egg laying mpreg and because it is Not My Thing I had a visceral squick reaction LIKE THIS

Your reaction amuses me! Funnily enough I thought of something you said a couple of moons ago about mpreg and Watchmen.

You should totally buy some rum for the author.

Rum egg nogs for everyone. Just don't ask where the eggs came from.

I remember when the movie came out and there was a deluge of porny fanworks, and some people were like, 'whelp, at least there's no Rorschach mpreg yet.' Look how far we've come. *sniff*

To be honest, I'm fine with mpreg as long as I can get past the 'men don't have babies! This is SILLY' barrier. Forced pregnancy where the mother loses her* bodily autonomy is a bulletproof squick, though. It makes me want to tear my uterus out and drop kick it through a window. I read it anyway, because I'm morbid. The Handmaid's Tale made me twitch like Galvani's frog. /tmi

Anyway, I digress. I ought to upload the full pic for no. 11, as it's painted in these grimy-looking watercolors and it's actually quite pretty. A while ago, I was going to post a load of Watching the Watchmen scans to scans_daily, but someone beat me to it, and their scans were better.

*Or his, because we're in magical fanfic land.

Yes, I remember you celebrating the absence of mpreg! I loved the tone of the first one :)

About the forced mpreg (Ror by Adrian), I was so tempted to write a fixit. That really squicked me, although part of me admired the idea and the writing and felt that it was needed to sort of balance the fluff (this is Watchmen, we SIMPLY MUST have dark edgy literature! NO HAPPY).

scans-daily: I haven't got a handle on that community, partly because I'm so out of it with current comics. All of my collection is early 90s at the latest and I reckon if someone hasn't already posted up what I got or it isn't available in reprint, there may not be enough interest in it anyway.

Heh, I don't remember doing that. Man, I shouldn't hate on mpreg, it's a pretty harmless kink. The vast majority of it makes me laugh in an uncomfortable sort of way, though.

Oh god, me too. Although it wouldn't have been a fixit per se, just an attempt to make his quality of life slightly better, because I couldn't see a way to get around the creepifying weirdness. I was actually quite envious of the sheer bizarre unpleasantness of it, because there's no friggin' way I'd DARE to write something like that. The idea alone makes me want to crawl under my desk and hide.

I'll see if I can find the scans and upload them anyway, because they're eye candy.

You should totally post them because I, at least, will be giving them an eyeful.

My recall is terrible, I have lost many brain cells. So if I recollect inaccurately, please accept my apologies (BUT I AM RIGHT... naaah :) ).

Watching steampunk episode of Dr Who (#10).
