Chapter 11 -
“Touch her again like that and you’ll die, Matsumoto,” Jin warned angrily with a very low voice and dragged the still shocked Kazuya back in their car and go home.
I should be the one telling you that, Akanishi-san.
…When Kamenashi himself isn’t your real wife.
Jun was still smirking all the way and ignored the looks given to him by other parents as he walked back to his office. This was more interesting than I thought.
-
Kazuya bit his lip as he sat in the passenger’s seat, sometimes glancing at Jin’s direction only to find the latter still glaring at nothing in particular and just focused on the road. The atmosphere inside the vehicle was very tense and Kazuya doesn’t know what to say or do for the silence was really getting to him. Before he didn’t mind the silence except if it’s this uncomfortable.
He can’t really imagine what’s on Jin’s mind right now especially after that incident happened. He knew he was furious but what was he supposed to say? He was the one who was surprised. Although he did enjoy the sudden action from Jin awhile ago, he still can’t figure out why was he the one who’s so comfortable about it instead of being the awkward and furious one?
Kazuya sighed for the umpteenth time and he didn’t care if it was already getting to Jin’s nerves. And in truth, it was already getting to Jin’s nerves.
-
Damn it, what did I just do? Jin thought. I can’t believe I screwed up again, and in public as well! What am I going to say to Kazuya, now that I’ve humiliated him in front of the whole school?
In spite of all that, it was a great wonder how Jin could still keep his straight furious face. However, he wasn’t able to somehow notice that Kazuya was already getting scared of him because of that face. If only he could be more relaxed then maybe somehow things would be alright for this time.
He heard Kazuya sigh again and he could already sense the younger one’s uneasiness. Unconsciously, he also sighed while thinking what he should say. He’s the one who started this problem so it’s his responsibility to fix it.
Jin bit his lip as he turned to the next street.
They were getting closer to home and still both of them weren’t saying anything. In the middle of the drive, Kazuya just opened and turned up the radio to listen to some band but he somehow felt that it also helped in increasing the already tensed atmosphere inside the car.
-
Yuki was still wailing inside Jin and Kazuya’s room with Ueda trying hard to keep the child calm. The adult was really at lost at what to do because he can’t really figure out what he should say to the younger one. He didn’t want to hurt Yuki, but what can he say to make the pain less painful? He knew lying wouldn’t work and telling the truth won’t make anything better.
Ueda bit his lip and sighed.
Just in time, the other three adults-Junno, Yamapi and Ryo-rushed up to the room when they heard the sudden cry from Jin’s son. Each new visitor tried to coo little Yuki but whatever they do doesn’t seem to work. Ryo confirmed to Ueda what happened and he too, was in shock.
Yuki continued to cry hard and kept on rubbing his eyes and the weird part on that was, he doesn’t really know why. He just wanted to know everything that’s really going on because he can’t understand any of it.
“We’re home!”
They all heard Jin and Kazuya announce from downstairs which made Yuki stop crying. He froze at his spot and sniffled from time to time.
“Tat-chan, where are you guys?” Kazuya asked from downstairs while Jin just walked straight to the kitchen and looked like he ignored Kazuya all the time.
“Right here,” Ueda responded and he could suddenly hear Kazuya’s hurried footsteps up to the room. The door was wide open so Kazuya saw the scene that happened at once.
Noticing that Yuki just cried, Kazuya rushed to his “son” and carried him quickly to his arms. “Yuki, what’s wrong? Are you hurt? What happened?” He asked worriedly but the respond he got wasn’t something he expected. Yuki repeatedly tried to pry his way out of Kazuya’s arms and wailed as he did so.
“No, I hate you! Yuki hates Mommy because Mommy lied to Yuki!” The child started to cry again but this time in Kazuya’s arms. The older one still didn’t know what was going on so he sent the four other adults in the room a questioning and worried look.
Jin came up in time once he heard his son’s sudden cries and asked what was going on. When Yuki saw him, he cried harder because he didn’t know who to trust anymore.
“Yuki, what’s going on-“ Kazuya’s eyes scanned the room and he didn’t only see one paper in their coffee table, but two actually. Out of curiosity, he placed the crying child down and forwarded to the said table thinking he might get the answer there.
And he did.
His eyes widened when he analyzed everything he saw-a paper with drawings on it (obviously drawn by Yuki) and the paper with the list of conditions on it. He lifted both pieces of paper and his hands shook as he did.
But how could that be? Yuki was only young, how could he understand any of what’s written on the list and what the list is for? Maybe they underestimated the kid. Too much.
Jin tried to advance to Yuki and carry him in his arms but his plan failed when his own son pushed him away and continued to throw a tantrum on the floor. Everyone was clueless now and probably hopeless. Jin felt really bad so he turned to Kazuya and saw that the latter was frozen in the other side of the room.
Worried, Jin walked closer to Kazuya and held his shoulder. “Kazuya, what’s wrong?” He followed Kazuya’s gaze to his hands and saw the list and the drawing.
Can it be?
Jin gasped. He turned back to Yuki and walked towards him again. “Yuki, what do you understand of what you saw?” He whispered making Yuki look at him with his wide teary eyes and shook his head. “I don’t understand any of it. Is Mommy fake? Is Mommy going to leave me again?” Fear overwhelmed the young one. Jin frowned at this and carried his son to his arms and was grateful that he didn’t pull away this time.
“Mommy?”
The little voice called Kazuya’s attention so he turned to Yuki and smiled sadly, “Yes?” Yuki was lost for words and so he hid his face on Jin’s shoulder and sobbed there. Kazuya sighed. He knew this day would come.
He knew this day would come so he can’t understand why he agreed to do this in the first place. Why? Why? This was very risky, playing with the emotions of a child. He can even faintly recall that Yuki had a weak health from the start (most likely inherited from his weak mother) so that made everything a lot worse and more complicated.
“Can you give us some privacy for a moment guys?” Jin called to the four other adults who were silent the whole time and they all nodded and left the “family” alone in the room. If ever anything bad happens, they wouldn’t have any second thoughts of going in at once but they doubt anything would really happen so they let it be.
-
Jin closed the door quietly and locked it while biting his lip. Kazuya sat on the bed, hands covering his face, totally unprepared for this unexpected event. The room was quiet and awkward again-just like the road trip on the way back from school, but the only different was, Yuki’s soft sobs could still be heard and both adults could already pity the little kid for crying too much already.
And every word that came out as explanation in the room became important already. Because every words come with great decisions that would change their lives forever.
-
Morning came and Jin suddenly sat up from his sleeping form in shock to find no one lying beside him. Every morning, he was used to seeing a very beautiful face greeting him whenever he wakes up but today wasn’t like one of those days. The room felt empty, sad, and lonely. He cringed and wished for many times that what he’s thinking just didn’t happen.
He stood up from the bed and saw a note on the coffee table together with the list Kazuya had made before.
Don’t try to find me.
- Kazuya
Jin froze from where he stood dropping the note. His eyes wide from what he just read. He knew what the message meant. The five simple words said simple things: I left forever. And his world suddenly shook.
He knew Kazuya made this decision. He knew Kazuya would make this action. But, why now? Why now when he was already ready to tell everything he can to the younger one?
And everything became much more complicated as ever.

Author’s Notes:
I’m really sorry this took so long! I just written this chapter again because the original chapter was in my old computer and I wasn’t able to retrieve it back so I read the previous chapter again and again just to come up with this chapter as soon as possible.
So, how’d you like this chapter? :] I really hope my own touches were still there. A few angst here and there, maybe a bit more drama. I know what you’re thinking: What the hell actually happened to the family conversation? The answer to that will be on the next chapter, my dears. :D So I hope you continue to be patient but hey, at least I updated right? HAHA.
I think when I’m going to update the next chapter; the chapter for In Time would also be updated so it’s going to be double updates plus maybe a one shot from some pairing that I could suddenly think of. Haha.
MISS YOU GUYS. :]
Hope you don’t kill me too much if this chapter sucked. LOL. I haven’t written anything for the past 3 months like this but I still you guys still appreciate this.
THANKS. :D
