It's been a while!
Well well, here I am. Back once more. It's been a very long time. Heck I didn't even remember my password. LOL! One of my friends told me that the reason she became friendly with me, was because of my journal. I can't tell you how surprised I am by this. Honestly I never felt as if I had that much to say. So I thought what better way to start the new year than to start writing again.
Out with the old year in with the new!
Last year was a very rough year for me. Mainly because I saw too many people I love get hurt. You know I think it's harder to watch people you care so much for go through that sort of hurt than to go through it yourself. I just wanted to mother them, to help them through it, to do something! Anything!! Unfortunately I've learned they have to go through it. They have to feel that pain, that hurt. There is always a lesson in all our pain, even if we did nothing wrong, we still learn from it.
I also had a great deal of health problems this past year. Went to the ER once thinking I was having a heart attack. Was hospitalized and they did a heart cath and everything. My heart is healthy! I'm really very lucky, as I've said before, I'm a large lady. Very much overweight. But I must have some good genes because I do not have High Blood Pressure, Diabetes, High Cholesterol or Clogged Arteries. They ended up doing a scope down the throat and proclaiming I have acid reflux. Now I don't have heart burn or anything but the doctor said it shows it. So I elevated my bed (That felt weird) and quit drinking so much Diet Pepsi (down to one glass a day thank you very much) and quit eating greasy foods as well. I guess I'm doing all right with that.
Well another thing that happened this year. I TURNED 50!! Yup.. the big 5- oh my gawd - 0!! So since I'm older you may have guessed by my mood swings, I'm through that wonderful thing called menopause. Menopause, boy that's another post to write about completely. You ladies out there that have been through there or starting through there, oh yeah you know what I mean. Anyways to make a long story short (and less graphic), I thought I was through with that after three years without a certain visit from a certain Aunt. Well seems she was just on vacation! And about December I started having a lot of problems. She came not for a visit, but to move in! For four weeks straight she made my home hers. Finally I think the doctors have it all figured out and after trying some hormones (Gawd don't I have enough hormonal issues without extra hormones) the doctor says a DNC is in my future. I had a little scare when they told me they were testing me for cancer with a biopsy! Thankfully I'm all good. Once again, surprisingly so, but happily so! So hopefully they get that done before and with plenty of time for my trip to Hawaii!
What? You say you didn't know I was going to Hawaii. Well that is one of the good things that happened to me this year. My family threw me a surprise birthday party. Now, I knew they were going to throw me a party, I must admit. My husband spilled the beans. However my birthday is Dec 28th, they had it Dec 7th. I was completely surprised!! I walked in and I thought, why is my Aunt Yvonne here? LOL. They started singing Happy Birthday to me. I was crying. Then I went to open presents and I was opening these sandals, I'm like why are my shoes in here. And then my shorts and a tank top and my mom came up and said do you know you might need those. You're going to Hawaii!! For those of you that don't know my daughter and her husband and my four grand-kids live there. He's in the Navy stationed there and I have not seen them since they moved there last May. That was another thing that I didn't like about '08. My babies moving so far away. But I also got a digital camera for Christmas with a 4G card so I'm going to take tons of pics! I leave Feb 17th and I'm there for two weeks!

After a falling out at a graphic site I used to be at, my best friend (note I do not say my best online friend) Sandy aka lyric and I started our own website. And I love it!! www.inklust.net
It's gone so much better than we even dreamed of. Our site continues to grow and we love the designers or as we call them Artists that we have there. Games and fun stuff but my love is the Auctions we have. And, the Radio Station. I love DJing on the station. lyric thought of a great name for it Digital Lipstick! I love it, it's female but not trashy. We have the station playing for our auctions and other times as well. I'd like to get it going more often, as we are paying for it. I just need to get more online DJ's.
I'm still with my Master online as well. He first collared me November 18, 1999. This year will be 10 years since that date. I'm pretty excited about that. I know that it's complicated, as I do love my husband, he's a good man, good father and good husband as far as providing, but my Master, he fills that void. He is always so encouraging to me. All the things I wish my husband was. Though I'm sure there are many things my husband wishes I was too.
This is the year good things are going to happen. For me and my friends and my family. I told lyric, this is our year. It damn well better be! LOL. I think I've written enough for tonight. It's good to be back.
