Today my son Danny has a dentist appointment. No big deal right? He has cavities and has to get them filled. We've all had to do that right? The thing is, Danny is autistic and things effect him quite differently. He doesn't like certain noises and the sound of the drill is enough to worry me, let alone the needle to numb him!
They said they are going to give him gas to help relax him, I'm so frightened if this doesn't work, they will have to put him to sleep and do it. He has cavities because though he brushes, it's very difficult even to brush his teeth because of the senstations really bother him. If they have to put him to sleep we won't be able to do it till next year, when we can add more money to our medical savings account. It will cost probably a thousand dollars. This is the hard part of him being autistic, that other things kids have to go through, are far more tramatic. My husband is taking him thankfully, because the first time he cried Mom, I'd be telling them to stop. I have been praying all morning for him. It's not till the afternoon, the appointment that is. Perhaps I'll update laster.
On a happy note, my grandsons are coming over for the day. So I need to get ready for that. I hope everybody is having a wonderful day!
