Today (or yesterday, if we mean to be correct about the time) my typist celebrated Independence Day (she's American, obviously). Neighbors were setting off fireworks in the streets. *smiles widely* Oh, Mlle. Bud is entirely charming and clever. The highlight of my days are alway whenever I'm in her company, and it's always wonderful to speak with her. She's beautiful and bright, and sometimes I wonder how something as wonderful as this could have ever happened to me. And -- oh, she has the most charming smile and laugh. . . I don't even know how to describe how she makes me feel! It's as if.. I have a reason to exist at all. I feel so loved and fortunate to have her in my life. And--
