Pete's Review of "Push"
Ok Apologies to Candi and Chad for doing the movie they wanted to see when they weren't feeling well enough to come out. I guess they got the Plague. Get well soon. Great movies coming up in the next couple weeks.
We Picked Push over Gran Torino Because Miko wasn't comfortable watching Clint Eastwood Kick the shit out of a bunch of Asians.
I went in skeptical, I mean Ok Dakota Fanning? Suave Black man chasing down people with Super Powers Reminded me way too much of "Jumper" Which In many ways was good except the whole Sam Jackson thing. So I was figuring this would be as ridiculous as Jumper.
The writers must have read a lot of X-Factor. Dakota Fanning's Character was completely ripped off from Layla the creepy little girl who can see the future and dresses all punk rock n shit. Ok so half way through the Movie I'm all Like "Oh Shit she's wearing Doc Martens!"
Fathers... This movie will make you uncomfortable.. A 15 year old girl (13 year old character) In Knee High Stockings and a super short skirt... Well I kept thinking, not my Baby Girl, oh No, She ain't saving the world dressed like that!!. She better put some pants on.
pedophiles, you'll like it for the same reason I found it disturbing.
The Character development was a bit weak in this film, but the story and the action more than makes up for it.
The Telekinetic Gun Fight was Epic LULZ !!111!!!1one1!!!
Drunken 13 year olds are funny.
Seriously Push is definitely worth the watch. there are a few things about Logic gaps in it that make me wonder WTF were they thinking, but its super powers and the government and asian mafia... all good in the end.
Except the bleeders.... their power was annoying.
Go see it if you haven't.
