15: The real difference between angels and demons is their fashion sense

Jul 08, 2011 10:58

Hello, Vatheon. You know, when I came here, I didn't expect that there would be tons of worlds out there which had never heard of religon or certain celestial beings. And those who have heard of them completely have the wrong idea. I mean, really, horns on demons? Angels playing harps? That's quite ridiculous, if you ask me ( Read more... )

this is totally not confusing at all, his coworkers aren't that awesome, tl;dr forever, educating the public, angels kind of suck sometimes, totally not a demon here nope, crowley what are you doing

Tired of people getting it wrong, or are you telling us this for a purpose?

[Aka: U MAD BRO? No, but seriously, Ed's curious. 8|]

Not really tired because I've been hearing things wrong for quite a while now, and I don't have any purpose for it.

Frankly, I'm just rather bored.

Fine by me then. [As long as he's not planning on opening the Gates of Hell or whatever, Ed's just dandy with being informed.]

Come think, I always found it interesting that whenever someone had to be punished... an angel was sent. [Yay for a non-believer who knows all too well about punishment~]

Like I said, angels aren't always that nice. They smite like nothing else, and trust me, you would not want to get on their bad side.

I'm familiar with it. I've stepped on the wrong side before. Though, I'm not sure if it was really punishment by angels so to speak.

[A cold smirk.] Punishment by people, then?

No, no. Far from it...

I'm a man of science, so it's difficult to say it was divine... Moreso a price to pay for stepping onto... We'll say "God's territory" to make it easy.

My punishment was becoming of my sin. Equivalent, if you will.

Ah, took a step to far in the wrong direction, huh?

[He laughs, though it's not a happy one.]

What you did is what you got in return. Makes sense.

You could say that.

[Still not sure what to think of you, buddy.]

Equivalent exchange. Basic principle of alchemy, basic principle of life.

Alchemy? Isn't that the whole "let's turn iron into gold" thing?

Its a little more than that, actually... Lead into gold is one of many ways to use it. It's more the decomposition of one item and recomposition into another item of equal chemical potential.

Sounds about right from what I've read...but if I remember, all it led to was just a lot of alchemists dying from poisonous substances.

Tch. Weren't very good alchemists then. [He shrugs. Okay, so you're talking to a bit of a prodigy right here.]

That must have happened in whatever world you came from. Where I'm from, good alchemists are a dime a dozen, and a lot more skilled. Like myself for example.
