I apologize for not using this earlier, I see no real point in using a program to record my daily thoughts when pen and paper have served well for mankind for thousands of years. This is, however a useful way of giving a message to a large group of people.
The past few weeks have been a busy time for much of this nation and in others, multiple cultures celebrate the harvest season during these weeks. Either thanking for the past year's success or wishing for the same in the coming year. The next month is either hectic or peaceful depending on which holidays one has been raised to celebrate. For some, winter and the solstice is a time of quiet contemplation of the greater meaning of the cycles of life and death and preparation for the riotous renewal of the planet's seasons with the coming equinox. For others it is a time of insanity, fretting about impressing others or dreading having to meet with family one would rather avoid for much longer than one wants to see them for.
There are, however, those of us who do not have family with them for one reason or another. Consideration should be taken to not offend or upset anyone at all times, though taking an extra moment to do so during this time may be greatly appreciated in general.
As the nights grow longer we should all ward against the darkness in our own selves growing as well. One should use this time to learn about oneself as they are by examining those emotions and rising above them. We should all strive to be the proverbial light in another's darkness.
