First, congrats to
cretkid on joining the ranks of the coolest aunts ever! May you happily corrupt educate your niece on the finer sci fi things in life and make her parents crazy to boot.
Second, a very Happy Birthday to
veritykindle!!! Here is your haiku:
Oh Anime Pimp
Your taste is impeccable
Miyazaki rules!
Thirdly, I'd like to introduce my awesome cousin
cerezalee (aka Jenny). She is a wonderful artist and is selling her paintings and prints online now.
Go have a look at some of her work. She is also an avid reader if you are interested in talking books. She's new to LJ (I pimped that! Where's my LJ gold star I ask?!?) I meant to introduce her sooner, but I suck. Jenny, now you'll know just what a huge geek I really am. Oh, and for the BPALers around here, I did my best to pimp that to her too on our last visit and I think if she hasn't already bought some, she might just be an easy mark. ;)
So this week, I've gotten practically no sleep (no more than 4 hours per night thanks to Monkeyboy's allergies waking him up around 2am and this morning making him puke. On me. Blech.), been swamped at work, been working a side web design job at night, and today I had to go buy a replacement DVD player. I am beat. Not so beat that I will be heading to bed early and miss out on Doctor Who or Rodney. I can't guarantee much beyond that though. Right now we are watching disk 1 of the Avatar anime series. It's a family favorite. Jason Isaacs does one of the voices! I want to be a fire bender when I grow up. Actually, any bender would do. Earth, air, fire, water...whatever. It's all useful. Wonder if they have icon benders? Maybe word benders? I bet spoon benders are a rare breed...
Tomorrow I start running in the morning. I had to stop exercising while Chaunce was at school for most of April and I was doing the single mom thing. But now, I'm ready to start again and I need to keep the weight off. Then it's bills, laundry, picking up around the house, more side work, yard work, and a whole bunch of other crap that is making me tired just thinking of it. With any luck, by Sunday I'll have time to do some writing.
I think that's everything. I'm sure I'll poke around a bit this weekend.
