Blackout
Well, My Precious is in need of a new heart. (So sayeth the Apple certified tech here at work who witnessed it have a minor heart attack.) Poor little laptop has a bum hard drive. Sometimes the thing clicks loud enough to hear it across the room. And sometimes it just decides it no longer wants to boot up. Sometimes it fails to recognize the name of the volume where all my stuff is. Sometimes it won't even complete the repairs. Most of the time it wanders around confused when I try to start up some random bit of software. And god forbid all the permissions are correct. Oh no. I can fix them and then go to fix them again right after and the same permissions are wrong. Pffft. Going to take Precious up to the Apple store for a transplant this afternoon...just as soon as I dump any and all sensitive info from it (I backed pretty much everything up last week. Of course I forgot to bring my System disk so I can just erase the damn thing before it goes for its surgery. Dumbass. *sigh*
So bid this poor diseased little heart farewell. Let's here it for still being under warranty though! Whoohooo!
Going to suffer with using my work PC laptop for the weekend. It has no name, although it does have the PKWars screensaver on it...maybe I will call it MoyaJohn. It doesn't have everything it should, but it gets by.
