Ah Friday! Here at last!
I smell like Fall today and that's a good thing. My BPAL order came in the other day full of Punkie Night and Lick It Again and some imps that might actually work for me that weren't on my wish list. Today it's Punkie Night's turn and I'm lovin' it! The description for it couldn't be more accurate: This is a light-hearted scent: apple orchards, bright cranberries, and a touch of warm cider. I'm down-right edible!! I can't stop sniffing myself... Yesterday I tested Lick It Again and I think I didn't put enough on. It smells awesome in the bottle (bit of candycane overdose), but it was lighter on. I want to smell like candy canes though. So obviously I need to put it in more locations than just my wrists. I love being tasty.
Other good things today? Monkey slept through the night! Yay Monkey! Mommy got a full 8 hours of sleep for the first time in weeks! Needless to say, I feel pretty good--on my game, full of piss and vinegar! Look out world! What else? Donuts!!! The donut fairy stopped by work today and I had a yummy chocolate covered glazed chocolate donut. There was almost not enough chocolate to make it worth my while, but hey, I can be forgiving. That's not all! Girlie has been more of a help than a hinderance all flippin' week and it's not even the day before Christmas! And Casey continues to be the best dog in the history of dogs.
The hits just keep coming too! My hives which have been really sucking are almost gone today along with the moldy leaves in the back yard and the clogged gutters. Actually I'm not sure if it's the moldy leaves being gone or the fact that I've got my business name and logo nailed down much to my satisfaction. Could be a little of both. Now all I have to do is finish up a bunch of stuff around this horrid place and leave without anything hanging over my head. January 1 can't come fast enough.
This weekend I drag the family and puppy to the old homestead for my cousin's 30th and grandfather's 90th birthday parties. My grandfather is one of the coolest people I know. He always is trying to learn something new and has a million interests. He's been fairly bummed out since my grandmother died a couple years ago, but he's also been able to do things he couldn't do when she was around which is great to see. I love my Papou and feel very lucky to still have him around.
