er, when u have an hour an a half to write such a missive i don’t really understand why you don’t have the 14 seconds needed to sign-up --or at the very least to sign your name at the bottom (and maybe even have a link or two... no i don’t buy that at all... you have the time to write, have the time to sign. it's just nettiquette.
>>I found it unnerving however amusing that you yourself claim Bureaucrash >>is misquoting or misdefining, whichever you prefer, "Fascism"...yet you >>yourself misdefine and misquote Bureaucrash, while perhaps the 20 minutes >>of searching the site I took would have drawn you to a completely >>rational, not "rage-ional" conclusion about them...
so what you’re saying is that 20 minutes perusing the site is enough to know what they are up to? That there's no point in checking out the mother-site (CEI) or even following the money trail? interesting... also there's a problem with me calling them fascists but there's no problem with them telling kids that anti-smoking laws are "Fascism?" again, interesting which side you seem to take umbrage with..
>>I visited their site...taking a little gander myself and found none of the >>"support" you say they give to the practiced forms of Fascism...
again you have to look at the whole story, not just the forum where the kids, sorry, the "Crashers" say whatever they want.... check out any forum, all people of all stripes comment. But that is hardly the way to see the modus operandi.
>>Their campaign to "break the labor unions, depress wages, And impose a >>rightist ideological monopoly over the media, abolish taxes for the big >>corporations and the rich, eliminate government regulations designed for >>worker and consumer safety and environmental protection, privatize and >>plunder public lands and enterprises, wipe out public services" was >>seemingly out of reach to me...
again, i think if you only go by what the kids are posting in the forums, you will not see everything. If you read the CEI you will get a better picture. While they don’t come out and say "hey let's depress wages" check out Bureaucrash TV's little skit on the minimum wages --it's mind-poison for kiddies who have yet to take polisci101-- as for elimination of regulations that is certainly on their agenda (remember kids: smoking is healthier than fascism!") and who is the major funders of B$ and CEI? none other than phillip morris and Koch Industries (any wonder why the latest tiome from CEI is all about how benign asbestos is and how the WTC wouldn't have fallen if it weren’t for government regulations and ill witted hippies?) and if you don't know koch, do some homework. and see how much money they owe because of Georgia Pacific and asbestos.... a for the media, what is the bashing of Adbusters? They have no power to impose anything; they are not elected officials of dictators, that doesn’t mean that they wish anything different. Obviously without power they can no impose anything. But what they are doing in this "information war" (to quote some anonymous poster) is no different ideologically. Or do you see anti smoking laws and adbusters as the truly fascist movement?
>>perhaps I'm just not quite the "digger" you are...however, since I pride >>myself on being such, I would at least have to say we're equals...
well if you have "pride" i guess we are equals(?) (maybe you can tell the class exactly who and what you are, and what you research, so that at least we can have cards on the table).
