So, we arrived home from vacation home from vacation yesterday evening. We went to Bowling Green Kentucky and it was a great time. It was Trevor, Rachel, Gary, Joyce, and myself. Caleb and Ben went to Florida with their mother and grandparents.
So, where do I start? I don't want a load of boring details, but I would like to document some of the more enjoyable moments of our trip . . . namely the points in which Trevor experienced new things and had a grand time doing it. I'll do my best:
-I found 14 geocaches, while in KY. That, for me anyway, is awesome.
-Gary, Joyce, and I rode on a HUGE zipline. Most people, when going down, go somewhere around 80 MPH. My little skinny ass probably only reached 65 to 70 MPH.
-We partook in a tour of the Lost River Cave, which while probably not interesting to a lot of people, was really cool for me.
-We took Trevor to Dinosaur World. Which he enjoyed well enough, I suppose. There wasn't much to it, and the weather made it near unbearable, but I do think We got our money's worth just from Trevor.
-Went to Beech Bend amusement and water park, which was great. A lot of firsts for Trevor. I wondered how well he would do with amusement park rides, and he did very well. My son likes rides! Some highlights to that would be Rachel and me riding the kiddie drop tower with him. (One of these:

Trevor also rode in the haunted house, was terrified, and then promptly went back again after riding the Tin Lizzy's. He also rode all 3 of the huge water slides with me, which he was a millimeter tall enough to ride. Dude, he loved those. They had a yellow one, a red one, and a blue one. Immediately after going down the yellow one he looks at me and says, "I wanna ride the blue one". And immediately after that he says, "I wanna ride the red one". He also rode the Log Flume. (You know, one of these
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Log_flume_(attraction) ) This wasn't a kiddie version either, and he ended up riding that 3 times. To say the least, I feel okay about taking him to Six Flags when he's tall enough to ride all the rides.
-Lastly, but not least, we took a tour of Mammoth cave. I had been before when I was little, but it was nice to go back as an adult. I feel I had a better appreciation of it.
So, to summarize. It was a good vacation. I did some great activities, in a great place, ate some great food, with some awesome company. Big thanks to Joyce and Gary.
