The pre-season starts on Sept 15!  Sept 15!!!  I can't wait.  I have missed my hockey this summer and I'm very excited for the start of the Oilers' season!

Poke check, indeed!

4-0!  Great start to the season for the Oilers.  I was a bit worried on Saturday when they finished the first period down 2-0.  They looked sloppy and slow and all over the place.

But then the second started and it was like watching a different team.  Wham, bam, bang!  Three goals in five minutes!  That lead held for the rest of the game.

But bad news of all bad news - Sheldon Sourray left the game in the second period with an injury.  Noooo!  No injuries allowed!  We've been plagued, plagued I tell you, the last two seasons.  It's supposed to be over and done with!

So Sanctuary's on tonight.  And so's the hockey game.  We're playing the Calgary Flames, a good old Battle of Alberta.  The games are always so good becasue of the rivalry.  And so far the Oilers are 2-0 and I really want them to win tonight, too.  More importantly, I want to see them win.
