One thing I hate about my job is how much it makes me dread major holidays, especially the gift giving ones. The only people who ever seem to get upset are the ones who wait until the last minute to shop and can't understand the long lines. Oh well. I got to tell off an old lady who was yelling at me today. I think she might even sue the company because she was too dumb to read the ad correctly, and all over an extra 10 dollars she had to pay (on a $150 item). The best part about not being a manager anymore is that I don't have to pretend to be nice to people. If they yell at me I can yell right back, and if they don't like it I can just call the manager and let them deal with it. So much more fun that way. I hope I start enjoying yelling at people and arguing with them more, because I think that will be a good skill to have later in life. Bullheadedness seems to be a redeeming quality among lawyers, especially when your client pays you to be obstinate to their cause.

I can't wait to move. I'm done here. Thanks for everything. I will miss all of you, no doubt, and my family, kitty, and warm weather. I hope to come back when school is all over, but who knows. I feel very much like Luke Skywalker at the start of the first Star Wars movie when all he wants to do is go to pilot school and stop moisture farming. He does neither and yet ends up saving the fight for Good in the galaxy after a crazy adventure. I would love an adventure right now, and especially one that is about something bigger than just what I want.
