It's been almost a month since my freak out post, the one where I worried about a lack of response to Esther queries.  It sent me into a dither.  I flailed around, not wanting to write and not knowing what I should write even if I did want to.  I kept analyzing my situation, every angle of it...and I think I've finally decided on a direction ( Read more... )

Okay, here's a topic...does the advice that everyone "stick with it" really apply to everyone who wants to be a writer?....discuss amongst yourselves.

Ann Behar sent me the best rejection yet (oxymoron, I know).   It is so helpful to even get a few sentences of personalized feedback.  Unfortunately, her comments confirmed my nagging suspicion: a major editing and plumping is due.

Sigh.

Agent X had still not responded back as of yesterday and she has had my exclusive since 10/31. Although I was anxious to hear back after she requested the full, I was really starting to itch that I couldn't query anyone else in the meantime.
