Art Post; Blood Spatter series
Despite hating the character who seduces Dexter on the show, she made a good point. His blood spatter testing looked like art to me, much like the blood splattered logos for horror movies or book covers, or even the Dexter text for the books. (Horror and science fiction are passions of mine.)
I decided to start a series inspired by Dexter's work, and while I felt that the most effective use of color was red, or red and another color, to tie it to the origins of the series, I recently discovered that the same techniques I've been using look amazing if I used metallic watercolors on black paper.
