Sometimes I feel like I live in my own little country.

Day 24 → Whatever tickles your fancyIt always cracks me up when people are shocked by the things I've never seen/heard/been to. Like, when I would say that I've never been to Costco. lol, well, I did go recently, and quite frankly, I don't get the big whoop. There's just no way the average American family of 3-4 people needs to buy so many things ( Read more... )

lol, she represents EVERYTHING that's wrong with how Americans eat. How can you not eat red meat because of health reasons, and yet like a woman who'll used GLAZED DONUTS as hamburger buns, lmao. yuuuuuuck. She completely grosses me out.

yeah, it seems a lot of people like her. I just don't listen to commercial radio, so there's just no reason for me to have ever heard her.

And I don't get jeans. I think they're sort of the least flattering pants most women wear. Idk, I've just never felt the need to own a pair since I was like, in high school. lol, I TOLD YOU, I'm not a normal person.

She is so entertaining though! She's actually competing against Bobby Flay rn on Throwdown. They're making chicken fried steak.

And with Gaga I find her music videos are one of the best aspects of her. I don't think I'd like her as much if I only knew of her songs. The videos make it.

I think it's all about getting the right jeans XP

yeeeeaaaah. I don't find her entertaining at all. Just sort of loud and obnoxious, without the intelligence to be sincerely funny for me. And she's got these weird doll eyes that always look dead no matter how huge a grimace her mouth is turned into. lol, I really loathe her.

ANYWAYS. I'll have to take your word on the video thing, as I don't really watch videos either. lol, I am totally proving the point of this post, I'm like an alien or something.

ha, I guess. I just don't get the time or effort into finding the "right" pair of jeans, when I can find tons of other fabulous pants. I know for most people JEANS are for some reason just important to have, I just don't get it. And I think a lot of times people THINK they look good in jeans when they really look like shit and would be better off finding a pair of well-tailored pants that really fit. Whatever, on my planet there are no jeans! ;P

ha, I don't hate her, I don't even KNOW her. lol, I just think it's funny when everyone's talking about something and I'm all WHA? like, when i hadn't heard that justin timberlake sexyback song til 2 YEARS after it came out, lmao. So maybe I'll watch that video in 2 years?

And BESIDES. I can ALWAYS find something to hate on. IT'S A GIFT.

If it makes you feel any better I only found out that Taylor Swift was a chick when she performed at the grammys last year. I kept hearing her name and I'm like, "...wait, that guy has tits...and is like my age...wtf?"

HAHAH I thought she was a dude from the name, too! lol, that kid sucks. And she is TOO tall and gawky to pull off that "looking from under her lashes coyly" thing that she does. I don't get why everyone thinks she's so great just because she's young. I mean, when I was your age, LeAnn Rimes was a big deal, and she was only like 16, and that girl could SING. Like Patsy fucking Cline sing. And I haven't heard about her in yeeeears. lol, but then again, as the whole gaga thing proves, I don't know shit and maybe LeAnn Rimes is huge right now?

You mentioning the fact that there were people who were so much more talented when they were her agre reminds me of this article basically shitting on TSwift "talent". The person who wrote it mentioned LeAnn too XP

The chart at the bottom of the first page = fab.

And I love Patsy Cline.

lol, that was a pretty funny article, though I would have liked it more if the writer wasn't constantly telling me what a bad-ass her hypothetical child was going to be. But yeah, that girl sucks. If she could actually SING all the other stuff wouldn't be as bad. But just having girls brainwashed with shitty lyrics AND a shitty voice seems just mean.

hee, I love Patsy too! What a great voice.

Lolz my favorite part was about how wearing glasses doesn't automatically make you a ZOMG OUTCAST LOOK IMA FREAK.

(I'm starting over here because my comments were getting squishy)

wearing glasses doesn't automatically make you a ZOMG OUTCAST LOOK IMA FREAK. ha, seriously. I guess in TS land, people still call people with glasses 4-Eyes or something. I liked the part where she was all "wearing a tshirt signed by all her nonexistent friends" HA ( ... )

Loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooolz I feel so far removed from people who actually like TSwift (I only know 2 people irl who like her) so I like died a little when you said ~my generation~ even though it's technically right...maybe...

Lolz I need to stop because then I'm going to go into my whole spiel about my ~theory~ about how generations are becoming much smaller in terms of year ranges.

lol, it's not "techinically" right. It's just RIGHT. And while most social scientists would agree that generations might seem to be contracting (I'm an X, which was way shorter than the boomers), there is NO way you can substantiate a claim that you are in a different generation than current teenagers. What would be the economic/social/political/cutural or even global shift which would cause the differentiation? lols, just because you don't KNOW these losers in rl doesn't mean you're not a part of that same group. I share very, very few gen x traits, but it's not like I can just declare that I'm not an X.
