Sometimes I love being Asian so much it hurts.

Case in point: While in the checkout line at one of the bajillion korean supermarkets surrounding me (hello 5 bunches of green onions for 99¢!) I spied THIS amazing treat:

i'm asian by injection (or so says my boyfriend) so i get to eat all of those fun weird foods. but most of the weird foods we eat are filipino. i only spit out one dish at his sister's wedding and had to rinse out my mouth.

we were all over maui the last week and i was a little concerned because i was the only white person anywhere but the tourist spots, and he kept telling everyone the injection line to make me fit in. but luckily i think it's hilarious so i let him tell it as much as he wants.
i can't pronounce any of the names of foods, so i just explain what it tastes like and his mom makes it for me. thank god his entire family loves me.

ha, he's a keeper! :) And lumpia is those tiny fried egg-roll like things. God, I could scarf about 2 dozen down EASY.

lol, his mom probably also always tells you to eat up because you're so teeny! ;)

you don't even know how much of a keeper he is! he hand washed my bathing suit after we spent a day at the beach so i could rest.
his dad actually gets on me like crazy about food, but it only took me two and a half years to just agree with him and eat whatever he gives me. it made this trip (which also had our three year anniversary in it) much easier, since there was no struggle about being forced to eat every second of the day.
