The Rough Waves of Love

Happiness is a vibrant yellow like the color of the sun

The sky represents that empty feeling

The winds come and go like the smiles on your face

But the clouds stay beautiful no matter what shape they take

Relationships are like shells some are smooth and some are rough

Pink shells show the first true emotion between two people

The broken pieces represent the building of a soon to be completed puzzle

But Within every ocean comes black shells of anger

Frustration is muddy brown like having sand in your bathing suit after bodysurfing

The waves take you back and forth leaving confusion in mind

The sand scratches you leaving marks of incomplete thoughts

Then force of the undertoe is one that haunts a person’s untamed feelings

Sorrow is empty white like the foam from ocean waves

The tide goes in the tide goes out

Upset feelings seem to remain instead of the happiness that once took place

But at one point in time the foam soon disappears leaving nothing left to trace its presence

Love comes in many different shades but is always as beautiful as a sunset

Happiness and relationships are reflected in the warm, inviting water

Frustration and Sorrow leave anonymous footprints in the sand

But always knowing each day starts out with a new sun and new waves
