i'm leaving korea in 2 weeks, and i'm feeling the days whizzing by. i'm getting nostalgic already, and i know i'm going to miss my cute students so much, and the amazing kindness and generosity of all the people i've met in this country. here are a few of my experiences from the last couple of weeks...
we were at a piano festival in seoul and this dude came up to us and asked for a picture.. and we're all lining up and he says to me "A special pose!" he said "Like this!"

may 24th is buddha's birthday, and like any wise man, he partied in style. seoul was lit up with rainbow lanterns
buddha's birthday party. more coloured lanterns than you ever thought could exist. they closed down the streets and lined them with booths with crafts and activities and dancing and teas...

the parade of lanterns lasted for at least 3 hours, that we saw..
some souvenirs for sale in insadong, one of my favorite streets in seoul. it's one of the only pedestrian streets with some funky shops and lots of artsy people.
my oh too cute students eunji and yuri, oh i love them both so much. yuri clings onto me everyday and calls me mummy and she tells me she loves me about 5 times a day.. i'm going to miss them so much.
